Neighbors in Need is a drop-in social services resource that operates as an extension of our existing program, which has four service pillars available to clients – Empowerment, Housing, Wellness & Advancement. Sisters Place has accumulated experience and developed expertise over the last 28 years while providing support to clients experiencing poverty and homelessness.
After moving to Pittsburgh, we began to offer our services to the community. Non-residential clients who are typically low to moderate-income often need support. We have begun providing opportunities and resources according to critical and short-term needs. The services are on-demand and walk-in and provide supportive and crisis counseling, including connecting community members with victims’ services, domestic violence support, benefit application support, and access to basic needs such as food, clothing, & shelter resources. Additionally, the community will have access to group sessions, including parenting support, child development, housekeeping, budgeting, etc., and our Incentive Based Program.
